Hotel Mikligarður is a summertime property set within a student accommodation building in Saudárkrókur. We offer 65 rooms (single, double, triple and family rooms) all with private facilities and  free Wi-Fi.

The hotel is well located close to the center of the town, which offers an array of activities. Sauðárkrókur has three restaurants, a bakery, an information center, The Heritage House, 1238- The Battle of Iceland virtual reality show, an outdoor thermal bath, riding tours, bird watching area (puffins), a golf course, a health club, shops; all of which are within walking distance from the hotel. There are also excellent walking paths along the beach or up to the mountains above Sauðárkrókur.

Summer Hotel Mikligardur is only a 20 minute drive from the hot pool Grettislaug. Regular sailing trips to the island Drangey (The Puffin island) are from the port in Sauðárkrókur. Another local point of interest is Glaumbær the old farmhouse at Skagafjordur Heritage Museum, which is a 15 minute drive from the hotel.
