Hoepfner Historical House

Hoepfner Historical House is a unique and charming house with spectacular sea, mountain and town view. Perfect location in the heart of Akureyri, the oldest part of town, only a few minutes walk to the center and to many of the town´s highlights. Hoepfner Historical House was built in 1911 and is called after its owner and builder Mr Carl Hoepfner. The old merchant house was one of the last large timber houses (imported from Denmark) to be raised in Akureyri as concrete took over from this time. The building was used as a shop from 1911 until the 90´s. It is now a listed building and great care has been taken in its restoration and maintenance. 

There are four spacious apartments in the house and all of the apartments offer modern comfort with unique and historical style. Each apartment have fully equipped kitchen, double bedrooms, private bathrooms, a seating area with a smart TV and free WIFI. All the apartments are smoke and pet free.
