Fagrahlíð Guesthouse

Fagrahlid in Fljotshlid is about 105 km from Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.
Fljotshlid is famed for its beauty: a peaceful haven with spectacular glaciers (Myrdalsjokull and Eyjafjallajokull) on one side, while on the lowlands of south Iceland stretch out to meet the the expance of the North Atlantic ocean, and offshore the Westmann Islands seem to float mysteriously in the air.

Fagrahlið is an old farmhouse built 1934 and until 1985, there was traditional farming. The house has newly been renovated into a modern guesthouse with 5 comfortable double rooms, shared bathrooms and showers. Each room has its own look and charm, but the quality is the same. There is a lovely and comfortable living room with a stunning view in all directions. You are surrounded by the glaciers Eyjafjallajokull and Myrdalsjokull while Westman Islands are floating in the south from Fagrahlið. Breakfast is offered in the lounge and you can also enjoy it outsite on the balcony in the pure and powerful nature. We emphasize on healty food. The home-made breads and cakes are of spelt and organic ingredients. While staying at Fagrahlið, you are a part of the family.
A studio apartment: For those, who wish to stay private, we offer a studio apartment for 4 -6 persons. It has all the necessary equipments for the kitchen and a cozy balcony outside the living room. The guests are able use the hot jacuzzi (tub).
